The ceremony was held at the Central Presbyterian Church and the reception was located at the Waxahachie Civic Center. About 300 guests attended.

For the reception, Mary Beth and Mark used Courtney Keen-Flores of Villa Flora for the flowers, the Dove’s Nest for catering, Melissa Rose at Victorian Rose for cakes, Photogenic Images for the photography, A Day to Remember Video for the videography and A-1 Entertainment for the DJ. I was the coordinator and provided the linens and chair covers.

A few things personalized this wedding for Mary Beth and Mark: Mary Beth had her mother’s wedding gown altered and wore it on her wedding day; Mary Beth and her mother, Melinda Miller, had wedding gowns from their family dating back to the 1800s. We had a gown display with wedding pictures of the brides in their gowns and the dates of their weddings. The gown of Mark’s mother, Brenda Wainscott, also had her gown and photo on the display.

Mary Beth and Mark had a large wedding party. Courtney with Villa Flora and I wanted to design something different for the wedding party tables, so we came up with the banquet tables in a large rectangular shape leaving a hole in the middle. The middle then displayed large fall trees to incorporate the other fall elements of the reception.

The best moment of the wedding was seeing the smiles on Mary Beth, Mark and Melinda and Randy Miller’s faces and knowing they were able to enjoy the event, staying in the moment and not worrying about the flow or details of everything going on around them. Most of my time was spent with Mary Beth and Melinda. I enjoyed the loving relationship they share as mother and daughter.
