A Life Well Lived
Risk and Faith
Some people are just born to be entrepreneurs. I am one of those. As with any challenge in life, most people are afraid to fail. They worry constantly about not meeting expectations, making a mistake, or trying something new. Because of this, many never get started on the path toward reaching their goals, and thus assure themselves of the very thing they are afraid of… failure.
Destination Weddings
Destination weddings are more popular than ever. For the non traditional bride, what’s more romantic than a seaside wedding on a Caribbean beach, or saying your vows in a Tuscan vineyard? Getting married by the captain of a cruise ship, in the South Seas, doesn’t sound bad either. Planning a destination wedding doesn’t have to be any harder than planning a hometown church wedding. In fact, it can even be easier.
Turks & Caicos
Just when you thought you had heard about all the resort destinations in the Caribbean another British crown colony, known as the Turks and Caicos Islands, is quickly emerging on the scene. Protected by a natural barrier, TCI is part of the third-largest coral reef system in the world, and offers visitors a spectacular West Indies wonderland. Christopher Columbus’ first landfall in the new world was on Grand Turk Island, which serves as the country’s capital and is rumored to be the final resting place of his lost ship, the Pinta.
Manhattan
I had not been training for a New York Marathon, but I felt I was up to it. A shopping marathon, that is. After all, how hard can it be to shop till you drop on a Saturday in Soho? The thought of meeting a couple of girlfriends in Midtown, then making our way through every store on Fifth Avenue didn’t seem too difficult. In my younger days I could blitz through two malls, grab some make up, find a new outfit, a pair of shoes, and still have time to meet a friend for lunch, do the grocery shopping and have eight people over for dinner. This was going to be fun.
