You may have seen the commercial for the new nasal spray for allergies, Veramyst. It is a nasal corticosteroid for allergic rhinitis. But don’t get too excited that it’s really “something new”. It is very similar to Flonase, with only a slightly different form of the active ingredient fluticasone (Flonase contains fluticasone propionate, Veramyst contains fluticasone furoate).
